I was interested in trying out Arby’s Cheesesteak along with their Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich since I haven’t had either before. Also got chicken tenders to see how they stack up against the competition.

Angus Cheesesteak
I was excited to try Arby’s new Angus Cheesesteak, which comes on a toasted hoagie-style bun with a quarter-pound of thinly shaved Angus steak, melted American cheese, sautéed diced bell peppers and onions, and creamy garlic aioli.
The steak itself was tender and flavorful, but the sandwich had a few letdowns. The bun was slightly chewy, and the cheese sauce was runny enough to make the whole thing soggy. On top of that, most of the meat slid to one end, so my first bite was mostly bread and sauce. There were too many peppers overpowering the other flavors. It’s always fun to try something new, but I wouldn’t recommend this. There a lot better cheesesteak options out there.

Chicken Cordon Bleu
The Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich was the standout of my order. This sandwich features thinly sliced ham paired with melted Swiss cheese over a crispy chicken patty with mayo. Every component worked perfectly: the ham was savory and moist, the Swiss perfectly melty, crispy on the outside chicken that’s tender inside, and the soft brioche bun. This one was filling, well-balanced, and completely satisfying.

Chicken Tenders
I also picked up Arby’s chicken tenders to compare to other places like McDonald’s or Popeyes. The chicken tenders tasted excellent as usual. These tenders are large, crispy, and packed with juicy chicken. The seasoning on the outside adds just the right flavor, and Arby’s honey mustard is one of my favorites in all of the fast food realm. To top it off, they gave me extra sauces and even an extra chicken tender. Easy win over Taco Bell’s chicken strips, and comparable to Popeyes or maybe even better.
Overall, I was not a fan of their new Angus Cheesesteak, but the I would recommend the Chicken Cordon Bleu and Chicken Tenders.
