I have been looking forward to trying the limited time Arby’s Quarter Pound BBQ sandwiches featuring two different signature sauces. I also tried their Chicken Ranch Wrap and White Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese since I haven’t had those before either.

Quarter Pound Pulled Pork Sandwich
The pork itself is plentiful, but the quality can be hit-or-miss—for me, there were too many tiny or burnt pieces. The bun is basic and unremarkable, and the sandwich comes with two pickles for a bit of tang.

Quarter Pound Brisket Sandwich
In contrast, the Quarter Pound Brisket Sandwich stands out a bit more. The slices of beef brisket provide a more structurally sound sandwich, and the flavor is pleasantly smoky without being overpowering. Like the pulled pork sandwich, it features the same standard bun and pickles. Overall, I’d choose brisket sandwich since it has a more enjoyable flavor profile and is less messy.

Sweet and Spicy BBQ Sauces
You can pick between two different sauces to accompany your sandwich. Cedric’s Bussin’ Brown Sugar sauce is sweet with a unique tamarind-like note, even though tamarind isn’t an ingredient. Since it was really sweet, I only had to use a small amount.
Anthony’s Chipotle Smoke sauce brings some heat but lacks much flavor beyond the spice. I preferred the sweet sauce to this one.
I would opt for the sweet sauce next time, but neither sauce is a standout. We’re fans of the G Hughes Sugar Free Original BBQ sauce and I would suggest using your favorite BBQ sauce instead if you’re at home.

Ranch Chicken Wrap
It’s very small—barely bigger than your palm—and the chicken strip inside, while tasty, is pretty sparse. The plain flour tortilla has a gummy texture, and while the ranch, lettuce, and melted cheddar cheese add flavor, the ranch is overwhelming and made the lettuce soggy. It’s not filling and likely to leave you hungry and unsatisfied.
I mentioned in my McDonald’s McCrispy Strips review that they’re bringing back the snack wrap, so I will need to try those to compare and hopefully those will be more filling.

White Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese
The white cheddar mac ‘n cheese is creamy and packed with bold cheddar flavor. The portion is generous, and it’s even better when topped with pulled pork and a drizzle of sweet BBQ sauce. It doesn’t surpass Chick-fil-A’s version, but it’s still a strong comfort food option.
In summary, Arby’s new Quarter Pound BBQ sandwiches are a decent fast food option if you’re short on time, with the Quarter Pound Brisket sandwich and White Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese standing out as the best choices. The pulled pork sandwich was okay, but the sauces weren’t standouts. The Ranch Chicken Wrap was way too small. When you can, support your local BBQ joint—but if you need BBQ in a hurry, these new sandwiches are good in a pinch.
