Last month, Burger King caught my attention with their new BBQ Brisket Whopper. I also got their Fiery Royal Crispy Wrap and a Black Iced Coffee with Cold Foam to give those a try as well.

BBQ Brisket Whopper
Always up for something new, so we were exciting to see this new whopper at Burger King. If you’re expecting the depth and tenderness of a local barbecue joint, you would definitely be a little let down. There isn’t a ton of BBQ brisket on it, but it works well enough for a fast food offering.

The highlight for me was the crispy French-fried onions piled on top. That crunch combined with the brisket and pickles added a layer of fun texture that made each bite interesting. I enjoyed it enough that we’ve ordered it several time since then.

Fiery Royal Crispy Wrap
As someone who’s tried wraps from McDonald’s and Popeyes, I was curious to see if Burger King’s version would bring something new to the table. Unfortunately, the Fiery Royal Crispy Wrap felt a bit lopsided. There was a lot of tortilla and not nearly enough chicken to balance it out.
The heat level was mild, not the fiery punch I expected. Honestly, I still don’t quite get why fast food wraps are having a moment right now—they’re fine, but nothing wildly better than a normal chicken strip. This wrap didn’t change my mind.

Black Iced Coffee With Cold Foam
Iced black coffee is perfect for a hot summer day, so I was hopeful about this one. I went in expecting a bold but smooth sip. Instead, it was very strong and had a slightly bitter aftertaste that didn’t hook me.
I actually prefer McDonald’s black coffee, which tastes more balanced without being overpowering. So while I am happy Burger King offers this, I think I’ll stick to my usual.
Final Take: The BBQ Brisket Whopper is the clear winner here, especially if you’re all about texture and a little sweet-smoky flavor. Their wrap and iced coffee? Probably a one-and-done for me.
