On the way home yesterday, we stopped at McDonald’s to get their limited time HERSHEY’S S’mores McFlurry. Since it was such a warm and muggy day, I thought it would be the perfect time to try out this cold treat.

McDonald’s HERSHEY’S S’mores McFlurry
Their new s’mores McFlurry looks pretty standard and doesn’t stand out much from their regular McFlurries. The initial taste is mostly chocolate with a few small graham cracker pieces, and the overall s’mores flavor is quite subtle.

I wasn’t too impressed overall, but then I noticed mini marshmallows throughout the McFlurry. The marshmallows are similar to the ones you find in hot cocoa mixes and getting them in a McFlurry was a welcome surprise. It made me think about how cool a Lucky Charms McFlurry would be.
While the s’mores McFlurry was fun to try, I wouldn’t order it again. The s’mores flavor was lacking and it was too sugary for me.
Bonus: McDonald’s Squishmallows Happy Meal
I purchased this last month and never got around to posting, so I figured I will just include it here for reference.

The Squishmallow toy came with a standard Happy Meal that included six chicken nuggets, apple slices, and a kids’ size fries, along with a little chocolate milk. The toy came in a paper bag that was easy to rip open, revealing a super cute Squishmallow. His name is Rorty. I’ve received a similar toy in a previous year’s Squishmallows Happy Meal, and this one is just as nice (or even better) with great attention to detail on both the tag and the toy itself. These Happy Meal Squishmallows are noticeably less soft than the store-bought ones, so that’s the only negative.

It would be great if future versions came with an attachable plastic hook (or something similar) so you could use them as bag charms.
Now, I await patiently to for the chicken snack wrap (with their new chicken strips) to return this July. In the meantime, I want to try the new Taco Bell chicken strips. Hopefully will get those in the next week or so.
